Important: Debadging alone is not sufficient to ensure legal compliance. In many jurisdictions, including the United States and the European Union, not only logos but also the shape, design, and distinctive features of vehicles are legally protected. This includes:

• Vehicle silhouettes, headlights, grilles, spoilers, and characteristic body lines

• Overall vehicle design that is clearly recognizable as a real-world model

• Distinctive visual elements that identify a brand, even without logos

Even if all logos are removed, a vehicle that closely resembles a real car may still constitute a trademark or design-right infringement.
For this reason, designers should create fully original, freely usable vehicle shapes that clearly differ from real-world vehicles.

Beyond vehicles, there are additional highly sensitive content categories that must be avoided:

• Names such as “Deutsche Bank,” “Sparkasse,” “Bank of America,” or their logos must not be used in-game.

• Even fictional banks should be designed to avoid any confusion or association with real institutions.

Real Criminal or Terrorist Organizations

• Gang or organization names such as “MS-13,” “Al-Qaeda,” “ISIS,” or well-known cartels must not be used as names, symbols, or logos.

• Even creative or altered variations may be problematic if the reference is obvious.

• Servers should instead develop entirely fictional gangs and organizations with no resemblance to real-world groups.
